Initially called Magic Ball, Smash Frenzy is a series of Arkanoid-like games where instead of breaking bricks using a ball whose trajectory you attempt to control using a pad, you break all kinds of other elements that are part of various sceneries. Therefore, Smash Frenzy is not just another Breakout clone, as it freshens the basic gameplay concept of this kind of games and adds a new touch to it, allowing you to enjoy different scenes at each level, and replacing the monotonous brick formations with all kinds of interesting scenes.
Smash Frenzy 4 comes with colorful visuals and many interesting scenes, levels, and locations. It also has a bit of a storyline, revolving around aliens with bad intentions that need to be stopped from their wrongdoings. There are also quite a lot of power-ups, but they don't make the game too easy, on the contrary, Smash Frenzy 4 manages to be quite challenging as well.
Among its downsides, the fact that it can be played only in full screen mode is quite annoying.
